Anderson Valley Brewing - Summer Solstice

Anderson Valley Brewery in Boonville, CA has released the ultimate brewski for the long, hot days of summer: Summer Solstice. I downed my first pint last month just hours after crossing the finish line at the Pittsburgh 1/2 Marathon. Since then, it seduces me every time I walk past the beer aisle. If you spot this magic elixir in your hood, you'd be wise to pick some up.

This incredibly smooth and creamy seasonal ale is light and refreshing with hints of vanilla, caramel and citrus fruit. The first sip washes over your tongue like fine Italian silk and paints your pie hole with a velvety sweet froth to savor 'til your next swig. With less hops than a dead bunny, it's perfectly mellow with little bite. The pour reveals a "new penny" hue, and the liquid cooper tops with a foamy white head about a fat finger thick.

At 5% ABV, Summer Solstice is a cool, easy drinking alternative to Hefeweizen and will no doubt be the first beer emptied from the cooler at your next BBQ. Drink in the summer with Anderson Valley's Summer Solstice!
